exactly and what about Donovan McNabb? 3 straight NFC championship games with the likes of Todd Pinkston, James Thrash, and Freddie Mitchell as his receivers (and then a 4th straight with TO). Last year, Phili had a cancer on their team but now they regrouped this year with a different group of no-name receivers.

Vick is an incredible athlete but his accuracy as a passer leaves a lot to be desired. He does throw a decent deep ball though like that throw to Jenkins but that's about it.

I've never seen either the Eagle's or the Patriot's receivers just flat-out drop balls like I've seen Falcon's receivers drop balls this year. Crumpler had a ball right between the numbers for a sure TD against the Saints and dropped it.

Maybe it's coaching. I don't know. But there is a visible difference in how the Falcon's receivers perform compared to their counterparts on either the Eagles or the Patriots.

Those things are going to happen occasionally. Drops happen. Did Vick throw that pass with some nice touch on it or did he throw it, like most of this throws, 100 mph which even though it might be right to the guy makes it a much more difficult catch? Vick has a cannon for an arm but he doesn't know how to use it.

The excuses have to stop eventually and the blame has to start going on him. He's been in the league long enough and he's the same exact player now that he was when he came into the league.

Vick might not be the best passer in the league, but his receivers definitely aren't helping him out any.
Vick is a terrible passing QB (in relative terms... he's in the lowest rung of NFL QBs), and not having WRs with good hands certainly doesn't help.

That being said, the reason why Crumpler is such a favorite target of his is that, not only can he catch passes that hit him where they should, but he can catch ANYTHING near him. He's got amazing hands. It's the only reason why his numbers are as good as they are. I've watched Vick very closely in the games I've seen, and his passes are frequently awful to Crumpler, but Alge still pulls them in.

Just saying, yes, you're right, Jenkins is bad, but don't expect anyone else to get much better.

Vick didn't overpower it. I thought it was a catchable ball and it was one that Crumpler would have caught last year.

Though, you are probably right about Vick throwing a catchable ball. Brodie Croyle played QB at Alabama and had a strong arm. He was considered a good-great QB and led Bama through some rough times and a 10-2 season his final year. However, the receivers had troubles catching balls he threw sometimes and completion % was in the low to mid 50s. This year, John Parker Wilson is the QB and he throws a very catchable ball and there have been fewer drops and his completion % is over 60% midway through the season.

That's probably the one thing (other than accuracy) that both McNabb and Brady have over Vick...they throw catchable balls to their nominal receivers.

If I was the coach I would tell my receivers straight up - If I see you drop a ball that on replay should have been a catch, you are benched the rest of teh game. I don't care if it gets to the point you are moving backup running backs into WR positions - The job of a WR is to catch balls that hit you in the hands/face/balls whatever. Stick Jerious Norwood in as WR....

Michael Jenkins has no place in the NFL - Get off the field you POS

Why don't you fault the coach and GM for not getting good WRs? It's not Jenkins fault that he is the starter on that team, he is who he is. They built that team for the run and it's obvious they don't put a premium on Vick's arm, or they would have a better crop of receivers.

I should also point out Jenkins didn't have any problems catching the ball in college.

In his entire career, Jenkins caught 165 passes for 2,898 yards (17.6 yard average) and 16 touchdowns. His college receiving record is 8th on the Big Ten Conference career record list. Jenkins topped David Boston's school mark of 2,855 yards while his receptions rank third in school history behind Boston and Cris Carter. Also, he made at least one reception in 38 consecutive games

So was Mike Williams of USC, Charles Rogers of Michigan State, etc.
