Michael Jackson's Thriller

NFS4

No Lifer
I found the old CD in my closest while looking for something, so I decided to rip it and add it to my iTunes directory.

I haven't listened to the whole album in ages, but damn this is some great music. MJ may be a whackjob now, but what a slick album 😀
On the first day of the following month, Jackson released his second Epic album, Thriller. It became the best-selling album in music history with album sales exceeding 104 million copies.

The album also became the first in history to spawn seven top-ten Billboard Hot 100 hit singles, including "Billie Jean" (which was the first music video by a black artist to receive regular airplay on MTV), "Beat It," and the album's title track, which was accompanied by a revolutionary music video. The thirteen-minute Thriller was critically acclaimed and massive airplay lead to it being packaged with the featurette Making Michael Jackson's Thriller on VHS, where it became the best-selling music home video ever.[25] Thriller spent 37 weeks at number-one and remained on the Billboard album chart for 122 weeks. It was eventually certified 27x Platinum in the United States.[26]

He isn't such a whackjob overseas; only in the US, with the media circus surrounding this troubles with the law.

Internationally, he's still revered.

There were several artist in that era that put out good albums where you could easily listen to every song on it. Crap we have today is considered good if it has 2 hit songs.

That is why digital music sales are skyrocketing and album sales are dropping like a rock.

Meanwhile, RIAA thinks they can litigate their way to increased sales. Good luck with that 🙂

Can't beat Vincent Price's monlogue interjected into the song. The whole thing is like a time capsule. Good stuff.

CD? Newbie. 😱 I got it on tape when it first came out.

My babysitter used to play the LP for me when I was a kid. I was 3 when it came out and I used to listen to it over and over again.

I snagged the CD from my parents about 10 years ago and never gave it back. It ended up in my closet, and that's where I found it a few days ago.
