Making a 3D "hologram" alike view for a live audience is not that difficult anymore with current state of technique. I have seen what they can do with digital projectors / polarization filters and special screens. A CGI created MJ would have been much better. Like some sort of magician who performs tricks. I would not be surprised if he really would have liked that as well.

Cool, his moves were good but not as crisp and natural-looking as MJ's were. Rumor was MJ spent countless hours perfecting his moves, he really wanted his concerts to be something special.

maybe it was the quality of the video but I didn't see anything special

it looked like it was just a large screen set back from the stage a bit
