Making a 3D "hologram" alike view for a live audience is not that difficult anymore with current state of technique. I have seen what they can do with digital projectors / polarization filters and special screens. A CGI created MJ would have been much better. Like some sort of magician who performs tricks. Cool, his moves were good but not as crisp and natural-looking as MJ's were. Rumor was MJ spent countless hours perfecting his moves, he really wanted his concerts to be something special.
