he was an all around reckless fool that didn't know what to do with him self. His alleged talent was the result of well crafted music industry marketing and promotion. Millions of people took the bait.

I'm reposting my anecdote about meeting MJ because too many people aren't responding to it:

I met MJ at a funeral when I was a kid.

A woman threw herself and her children off the Vincent Thomas bridge in Long Beach, CA when I was a kid. She lived but her children did not. It made the headlines so MJ heard about it and was moved by it. He decided to reach out to the bereaved father and offer him assistance as well as attend one of the childrens' funeral service.

My father is a minister and at the time he happened to work at the mortuary where the funeral service would take place. He was notified that MJ would be attending the funeral so he decided to bring me and my mom to the service to meet him.

I shook MJ's hand with my sleeve over my hand. He was wearing a black suit, trench coat, fedora and glasses.

My mom hid behind a tree and took pictures. They made $10k by selling them to a tabloid and my dad was interviewed on that show Hard Copy.

I didn't realize how immoral all this was until I grew up. I was probably 8.
