Ok, so just saw the movie and thought it was good, but I was being distracted so didn't get to pay as much attention as I wanted.

Can someone tell me what those documents were, and what the book that the son was talking about has to do with the documents?

The documents were very incriminating evidence, and the crazy guy made hundreds (thousands?) of copies bound up to look like that book to distribute all over the place.
