I know what Jesus said about a rich man, a camel, and a needle, but I am not familiar with what Jews believe. Do Jews really believe that you can buy your way into heaven or is Bloomberg as arrogant as he seems?

The former New York City mayor is confident that his latest $50 million gun-control initiative has secured him a happy afterlife.

Bloomberg is starting another gun-control advocacy group, following his last venture with Mayors Against Illegal Guns. But this time, instead of focusing on television ads, he wants to build a grassroots network that can rival the National Rifle Association. He's pouring $50 million of his money into the effort.

The new group, which is targeting 15 states, is called Everytown for Gun Safety, and will primarily focus on the background check system and not necessarily on banning certain types of guns.

Bloomberg is proud of himself, too—ready for his Judgment Day.

"I am telling you, if there is a God, when I get to heaven I'm not stopping to be interviewed. I am heading straight in," he told reporter Jeremy Peters. "I have earned my place in heaven. It's not even close."

More like God will give him a frown and say "Good job ensuring lawful citizens cannot get guns giving the criminals free reign" then throw the switch to open a trap door under Bloomberg plunging him into the fiery pits of hell.
 
A poor guy who gives fifty dollars to a homeless person gets more credit than a billionaire starting a political initiative.

Being the richest man in the cemetery doesn't matter to me. Going to bed at night saying we've done something wonderful... that's what matters to me.

Bloomberg is scared because he knows that he has 10-15 years left. All of his money will not save him from death. This is one thing that we all share. I don't care if you're a king or a street sweeper we all have to face death.

If you've ever seen the rap sheet from the members of Mayors Against Illegal Guns, it reads like an organized crime cartel. Those are some people who shouldn't own guns.
 
You can't buy your way to heaven. If you become saved you are going, if you arn't saved you don't go. It's a gift, you simply have to accept it and you go. Even one of the thieves on the cross next to Jesus went to heaven because he believed Jesus was the savior and his sins were forgiven. The other one who rebuked him did not go to heaven.

It's sad how so many religions have a "point system" and think you need to do good works to go to heaven. No amount of good works is good enough to go to heaven, no matter how good you are, you still sin and sin leads to hell.

So basically according to your believes pedophiles can rape as many kids as they like, as long as they claim to accept Jesus as their lord and savior 2 minutes before they die they'll still go to heaven. While all their victims will go to hell if they didn't 'say the magic words' before dying. So your idea of heaven is a place filled with nazis, kkk members, rapists, murderers, thieves and any other scum that 'accepted Jesus', while hell is filled with anyone who didn't, no matter whether they were good or evil.

What Bloomberg did isn't an act of goodness either, if anything it's pure selfishness. Which religions tend to frown upon as well.
