Michael Asher sullies the mediocre name of the "Daily Tech"

Surprisingly, most "opponents" of global warming have moved beyond flat-out denial of global warming and are beginning to accept the fact that whatever the cause, global warming IS occurring. However, they still deny that it could be anthropogenic in nature.

Is it human-caused? Is it part of a natural cycle? The evidence based on atmospheric concentrations of various gases in PPM would indicate that increased greenhouse gas levels roughly corresponding with human industrial activity point to the former.

Marlin1975,

Is your real name Jason Mick?

Man-Made Global Warming is a shaky theory at best. All you have to do is look at the geological record and correlate that to CO2 levels which *follow* warming, not precede.

Besides, one volcanic eruption spews more CO2, sulfur dioxide, ash, and other noxious gaseous than all of man's combined polluting. The earth is not helpless.

edit: For full disclosure, I like Dailytech.

Don't let the masher fan club find out about this thread, they'll bury your comments.

What I don't get is why people get so riled up about mashers blogs. They guy is enormous amounts of fun, He obviously does it to get a rise out of the audience which given the reactions shown in this thread he is extremely successful at what he does.

As far as the grammatical errors they are no worse than any of the other B-list news 'blogs' I read on a regular basis and I find the DailyTech articles to be more interesting overall. Usually if you e-mail the editors the errors get fixed promptly.

No, my real name is Jason Marlin Williams. You can do a FIA on my since I work for the Gov. Also fbrdphreak knows me when I lived in Cary NC.

I don't even care about Pro-GW vs. Anti-GW as much as I do about someone making something up and then trying to spin it. That and Michael Asher seems to be obsessed with trying to prove anti-gw so much most of his "blogs" have half truth or even in this case just out right lies. Even if what he posted was in my view/favored Opinion I would still be ticked.

He posts this on Daily Trash as a BLOG yet it is listed under the title of "Most Popular Articles" when I went to DT. It has been reposted over the internet at other sites, even drudge even though I could not find it there, as a normal article/fact sheet.

What credibility Daily Tech had is just trash IMO. From what I have seen a lot of others who comment on this DT "article" seem to hold them in the same low light as well now because of writings from Michael Asher.

He was quoted on air by Rush Limbaugh, how much more credibility does the guy need😕

😉

DailyTech's comments Rating system is a perfect groupthink scenario. On a relatively mild-mannered topic, one user has a rather non-confirmist POV and it got rated -1. I got curiously and clicked to open to read his comment and found it to be objectively sound but running against the flow of the majority opinion, which is often spearheaded by somebody with a little "DT" logo suffix or an comment rated as a 5.

Hey, don't confuse people with the facts. The enviro-nuts don't want to believe that sun activity is far more responsible for climate change than anything man-made. It doesn't fit the agenda.

BTW, I like DT, too.
