Good deal, yes. The other thing some people complain about is the G7 is hard, smooth plastic on the sides. Instead of the rubbery substance that was on the MX mice, that is. I've gotten quite used to it.

I don't like it because: the cord is kinda crappy and sticks to my desk- not the braided fabric kind, the feet wore down after six months (easy fix though, and they weren't gonna last forever), and finally it makes a high pitch ringing sound.

I still have an Mx510 and am happy with it 🙂 went from an MX500 and noticed a nice gain. seeing as the MX518 is a 510 w/ better dpi I'd go w/ that, I don't think the texture or lack of the addl side button help the G5.
