Miami Porsche building will house 2% of the world's billionaires

The 60-story Porsche Design Tower, now underway in Miami, will contain three elevators capable of taking residents and their cars to their multimillion-dollar condos dozens of stories up. The building has 284 parking spaces in its glass "sky garages," where the cars will be visible to owners from within their condos.

Prices start at a heady $4 million and top out at a vertiginous $32.5 million for the "huge" penthouse.

One resident is reportedly bringing with him a $25 million Ferrari.

Why the fuck would I want to see my car?

If you're spending 4-35 million on your house and you are interested in cars you likely have a car worth at least $100k+ which (again if you like cars) you would want to see and probably keep as close to you as possible. As stated in the article one resident plans on bringing a 25 million dollar ferrari, I expect the other residents to have similar taste in cars.

wow at the views of life here.

Chances are these places will not be housing these billionaires anywhere near full time.

Are these second homes for the residents? If I am spending that much i would expect a 12 car garage for all my vehicles which makes me think these are not going to house more than one or two car per resident and therefore must be second homes.

lulz..

I like how the media claim to speak for all, in that we "resent" wealthy people or hold socialistic tendencies. Well I don't, since if somebody is rich, I don't give a shit. Provided s/he got his or her money honestly and not hurting others, meh, I don't care.

If a billionaire is living in one residence for an extended period of time, they're more than likely on their deathbed.

For most these will be places they stay in when just visiting Miami or loaners to friends, family, and clients while they are there.

We have $20MM+ mansions on both the ocean/intercoastal that people may live in a couple months of the year.
