I've got a k6-2 475. Default voltage=2.2
Current speed=504mhz
Current voltage=2.94v

I can either make it do 550 @ 100fsb or 504 @ 112. It won't quite do 560/112
stable. With 550/100 I can take it down to 2.67v. It's 24hr Prime stable on both.
Which one should I pick? Any replies appreciated!

edit: Prime95 just took a crap! 23 hours and 38 minutes. Is this good enough?
"rounding was 0.4999728203, expected less than 0.4."

It hates anymore voltage, though. It's going to be a cheap mp3/file server. Should
I go with max stability and lower the fsb?

Wow, 2.94v? It won't live long with that kinda voltage. Are you saying it takes 2.94v for 504, yet only 2.67v for 550?

Anyways, for a file server, I'd run it at stock voltage or maybe an even 500 if it'll go at 2.3-2.4v. I wouldn't run a K6-2 at almost 2.7v or more,
at least not for extended periods.

That's what I'm saying. .74 volts increase is alot.....isn't it?
Although, 550>500. It just sounds better...
What I'd LIKE to do is sell this machine to a friend of mine and buy a 2100b and some nForce2 board.
Take my 1800, put it in my parents machine; take their 1ghz athlon, sell it to another friend, and put
this Duron 700 in my Asus nForce1 board and call THAT one my file server.

Now I gotta decide what to do with a super old Comqrap w/180mhz Cyrix bibe (built in beyond extraction).

Why does a beer buzz go away? Sh!t. I'm only allowing myself 1 beer a night.
