Why am I not surprised? GreenWorks NV games.. its to be expected to run like crap on AMD.

It's more surprising when it doesn't happen. heh

LOL @ gtx670 vs R290.

Edit: It's a good thing to see Kepler isn't totally neutered vs Maxwell.

How does the game look overall vs competition at these frames?

Wonder if this is driver resolavble for AMD. The minimum framerates don't look good at all.

Dat 295X2 performance. Even with a CF profile and 100% scaling it would be slower than 2x970s.

NO CF profile but i am really tensed though because now AMD dont have any CF profile for Nvidia sponserd title for example FC 4, COD AW , The crew and now MGS V.

I want to be a little angry right now but im too tired. WTF konami, such a severe AMD performance gimping. Here I thought that it ran well on my apu...there is so much room for improvement that it aint even funny. As much is to be expected from twimtbp games...sigh.

Money, Market and Majority plays a big role and this where AMD definitely is not a good choice.

They will fix it. Gameworks doesn't gimp AMD but it stalls driver optimizations when the games are released. AMD does it too with their GE titles.

If GreenWorks developers want to gimp AMD hardware... No problem, all those games ain't getting my money. ;)

Means 70% to 80% AAA u will be missing out.

That's quite an exaggeration. Avoiding GameWorks games would mean avoiding ~20% of AAA titles at the very most. And half of those are Ubisoft games.

If NV can get 80% (!!) of AAA games with GreenWorks, good for them.

Plus, I've long stopped buying any Ubi games regardless of whether it ran well or not on any hardware.

ps. Shadow of Mordor runs just fine on AMD tho.

That's not how it works. Happens on both sides, really.

SOURCE
According to AMD’s Robert Hallock,
it’s terrible news for the PC gaming
ecosystem on the whole.
“Gameworks represents a clear and
present threat to gamers by
deliberately crippling performance
on AMD products (40% of the
market) to widen the margin in favor
of NVIDIA products,” Hallock told me
in an email conversation over the
weekend. But wait, it stands to
reason that AMD would be miffed
over a competitor having the edge
when it comes to graphical fidelity
and features, right? Hallock explains
that the core problem is deeper:
“Participation in the Gameworks
program often precludes the
developer from accepting AMD
suggestions that would improve
performance directly in the game
code—the most desirable form of
optimization.”
SOURCE
To put this particular argument to
bed, I told Cebenoyan I wanted
crystal clear clarification, asking “If
AMD approached Ubisoft and said
‘We have ideas to make Watch Dogs
run better on our hardware,’ then
Ubisoft is free to do that?”
“Yes,” he answered. “They’re
absolutely free to.”
And there’s nothing built in to
GameWorks that disables AMD
performance? “No, never.”
Perhaps more fascinating was
Nvidia’s response when I flipped the
situation around. What about AMD-
partnered titles like Battlefield 4
and Tomb Raider? How much lead
time did Nvidia receive — and how
much would they need — to
optimize Nvidia GPUs for those
games? While I didn’t receive a
direct answer, what I got was Nvidia
returning fire.
“It varies. There have been times it’s
been more challenging because of
what we suspect stems from deals
with the competition,” Cebenoyan
says. “It doesn’t happen often. But
when it does there’s a fair amount
of scrambling on our part. I can tell
you that the deals that we do, and
the GameWorks agreements, don’t
have anything to do with restricting
anyone’s access to builds.”

Do you people think what is said publicly by PR people = truth?

Reality & facts = Truth.

Facts are many GreenWorks/TWIMTBP games run much worse relatively on AMD hardware. The same cannot be said for AMD GE games except for 1-2 examples (Dragon Age, due to bioware bugs which required a patch).

Reality speaks louder than PR.

Desperado, please don't post things that are false. I have mentioned this about previous posts of yours as well. You have repeatedly posted things that are not true in threads and it is going to confuse readers who come here for technical advice. Everyone posting should at least be confirming the stuff they post as fact.

He keeps doing that a lot and gets away with it. Opinions, fine, we all got different views. Blatant falsehood should be unacceptable on a tech forum.
