MG has today revealed its new high performance sports car named the MG XPower SV. Following development of the original X80 concept, the MG has been radically evolved, is lighter and has increased levels of power with up to 965bhp. So extreme is the performance that all models will be marketed under the MG Sport & Racing XPower brand.

as always, high res wallpapers of this monster on my site Dieselstation.com

EDIT: Oh yea, damn Brits drive on the other side of the road. 😉

Looks like they stole the front off a BMW.

Looks like a nice car but it's way too high up. I'm sure the bugatti 1001 hp could beat this one's ass, and around a track I doubt this one would handle as well as something like a mclaren f1 or ferrari enzo.

Course what do I know?

Actually, the nose looks like it's missing a Dodge emblem 🙂 I hope the vents are tamed a bit before production.

Edit: the rest of the car is missing a blue oval

No no... this is totally Pontiac meets Mitsubishi.

I would like to see someone ATTEMPT to make a body kit for this car!!! Garish, ugly, but a bit more power than the MG Mini.

Hmm, it seems this tops out at 465 horsepower, not 965 !!! In that case what a POS. I'd take a porsche please.
The version on display at the British International Motor Show is the MG XPower SV Club Sport Spec, powered by a special 465 brake horsepower (bhp) five-litre V8 engine, with a top speed of more than 200 mph.

At the top of the range MG Rover said engines with much higher stages of tuning and even factory-approved nitrous oxide injection kits, would give the car power of up to 965 bhp.

Not bad - but 965 with nitro is not equivalent to 965 from a real sports car. You can't use nitro in a race environment and since these exotics are often for their owners to pretend that they could use their car in such an environment (even if they never will), that makes it such that this car is cheating and cutting corners.

yeah. but if it comes from the factory and approved by the factory, then that's all i really need to know.
Well that's better than aftermarket, but still I'd rather have that 965 without the nitro!

I wonder if they are going to use Lucas Electronics in it. If so have fun while it is new because when it is old you will need to replace the entire electric system. Just ask anyone that ones a Jag that was made before the 90's.

:Q my jaw just dropped. Sure, it's completely over the top, but I like it 😀

BTW the front looks like a BMW for a reason... 😉

the interior is definitely fugly.

it'd be weird to shift with your left hand.... I don't know if I could do it.

hey the "donate" link on your page doesn't exist! You should fix that soon.... 😉
