This thread just proves my point that most people could give two sh!ts about the difference between widescreen and P&S until somebody points it out to them.

Half the people in this thread wouldn't have been the wiser had somebody not pointed it out to them.

I have Spaceballs and The Terminator. I think I have the full screen version of Spaceballs though. But I'm gonna have to see about the Terminator. :|

isn't the spaceballs dvd double sided, one with FS and the other WS? I might be wrong but it really seems like its a two sided DVD.

Yes, it is a BI-DVD.

so you get $7.10 for each dvd on that list? if you can find these dvds for like $1-3 you can really cash in on them i bet :)

I have "Chocolate" and "Y Tu Mama Tambien", definitely not worth the hassle to return them. Thanks for the info anyways.

Exactly. Why would I give them up for $7 each?

i don't think you have to give them up. they compensate you $7 for erroneously listing them as widescreen.

Class Members who submit timely and valid Claim Forms may exchange each Eligible DVD for (i) a new MGM DVD from a list of 325 titles or (ii) $7.10.

That's what sucks....you either get $7 for them...which won't replace them, or you get to pick from a list of 325, but we don't know what that list includes. Sounds to me like MGM wins no matter what. They suck.

*smacks head*

Read the thread!

They are NOT erroneously widescreen! These are OAR open-matte films.

Because there have been at least 3 movies with that title.

Luckily MGM hasn't had a decent movie in forever and I only own one or two of their DVDs.
