MFT/Defrag ?'s

OK....so diskeeper like to warn you when the MFT is near full...and insists upon expanding it....is this good? It claims that once the MFT becomes full, it will be fragmented and performance will be affected...is this true?

Also, if this is an issue, is O&O Defrag V8 able to handle the MFT? (as in expanding it/defragging it if it becomes fragmented etc.)

Finally, Diskeeper expanded my MFT on one drive to a fair size....which seems way too large...any way to drop it save formatting?

Look in my sig. there is a MFT defragger from Sysinternals in it.
