For those wondering when it would be released, it's been pushed back until Christmas 2002 :|

Originally sent for March
Then May
Then summer
Now Christmas

Ah well, did we really expect any better? I'll still buy it anyway :)

Unreal Tournament 2 is supposed to come out June now however. We'll see where that goes...

What really sucks is it's going to hit shelves closer to Doom 3 now, which will blow it out of the water technology wise :(

Supposedly they didn't want to release 2 Unreal games so close together, understandable.

From Homelanfed and Unrealops.

if UT2 comes out before Unreal2, I don't mind because I'm more of a multiplayer gamer. I'm not into 1player PC games. Never got around to doing more than 10 minutes of the first Unreal.

OK. Christmas 2002. That's about 10 months away from now. Given that information, I predict it will come out in summer of 2004. Any takers on that bet? :D

Why are you upset about it? It's not like your life hinders on this release...

Besides... you think Infogrames and Legend are any better than Blizard?

That's GOOD! It'll give me ample time to finish and enjoy the other big games coming out shortly. :)
I hate having all the good games come out at once, although I suppose by Christmas there'll be more top notch ones coming out as well. Oh well, I'll worry about that when it gets here.

Id rather have UT2 first and then U2 later. Gives em a little more time to make Unreal 2 the epic it better be.

I don't mind. Quake 3 and UT were released around the same time, and it seemed really fun to have two brand new games with kickass graphics out at once. :)

Besides...I'm more excited about UT2 than Unreal II. Course, Doom III blows them all away. :D:D:D

<< What engine does the game use? >>

Apparently a seriously revamped version of the original Unreal engine.

Not much different than the release dates of Q3A and the Original UT. The original UT was a slacker tech wise to Q3A, but look at which one was the far superior game.

And for the die hard carmack lackys - UT WAS a better game! ;)

Back not too long ago, Unreal was delayed almost as much as DukeNuk'em4Ever has been recently.
