I know not all Mexicans are racist and that it's not right to discriminate against Mexicans in the US, but it's hard to sympathize with them when they do crap like this.
In my experience a lot of immigrant populations are just as racist as American populations.

And America, particularly Southern California, is inheriting these racist attitudes from Mexican immigrants, as evident by the growing violence between rival black and Mexican gangs in South Central LA.
HOnestly, as an immigrant myself and having grown up with close friends of every ehtnicity you can think of (grew up in So Cal), I'd have to say you're right. A lot of immigrants come from countries where the political correctedness of the States doesn't exist. I know for a fact quite a few first generation immigrants harbor some pretty deep rooted stereotypes although the younger ones that come here and have been indoctrinated in our schools here aren't the same way.
I am sorry that this offends some people, but I also am glad that some people out there still have the cajones to not be pressured by the PC crowd. Like one political commentator said, the right to not be offended is nowhere in the constitution.....
I don't see anyone suggesting it should be illegal or something along those lines, but being a racist isn't admirable simply because you are bucking the PC trend. It's about intelligence, not "cajones". Not giving in to the PC crowd is fine...if you are trying to make a point. But if you actually believe certain races are inferior to your own, you are just an idiot.
If I went around saying "I hate Jews", that's not admirable, it's just ignorance. It's not about being PC or not-PC, it's about having a brain instead of just cajones.
Nope, wouldn't bother me in the slightest. Anyway, are you sure I am white? Not showing a little bias yourself, are you?

But I don't share the same history of persecution and segregation as African-Americans, so I don't think the situation is comparable.
You do realize that we're talking about Mexico right? The US Constitution doesn't apply there and its irrelevant.

When calling something PC or not-PC, the conversation should inspire honest debate. It really never happens in the US. People don't say what they are thinking or don't ask questions for fear of being ridiculed...or they get side tracked from the topic by calling each other names (happens all the time in these forums).
Sadly I'm quite sure everyone who has replied to this thread thus far is white. I'd like to hear some other people.

A double standard certianly exists.
I'm tired of this whining about PC. You can say whatever you want in the US, just don't expect people to be quiet about it. You can say black people are less intelligent but in return you get the right to be argued with by people who oppose your view. People want to be able to say what they want and everyone to stay quiet and not respond. BS.
For the record, I'm not even that big of fan of affirmative action (except in very limited circumstances). Being PC is when you can't mention that blacks commit more crimes per capita. Being PC is when you act like you need token blacks in your office. HOWEVER, complaining about racist depictions is not a PC thing, it's a racism thing.

Anyway, my general point in my earlier post is that the PC movement, if not stopped, will eventually mean that the only way to communicate without offending "someone" will be freakin hand signals, and eventually somebody who was slapped as a child will be offended by that.Originally posted by: Jmman

Yes.. PC does get out of hand.. BUT ... if Depicting Blacks as MONKEYS who walk like penguins on a GOVT. Stamp is acceptable.. what is nex?
