Mexican

i feel like there's a bit of negativity associated with this term.

i do use the word once in awhile since i feel it's less offensive than saying the short brown dude.

let me clarify. i didn't mean that it was a racist term, but definitely one with negativity associated with it because there's so much anti-illegal immigration sentiment in this country.

At first I wanted to punch you in the face to make you stop posting,

and then, well, actually, that about sums it up.

Brown dude means a different race in Canada.

How is Mexican racist? Obviously 'beloved patriot is a racist term, but not Mexican.

It's not yet. However it has been co-opted somewhat by racists. More so than other racial names like black, chinese etc..

I'm Mexican and I have no problem with people calling me a Mexican. They had better not call me a puerto rican though! 😛

Wow is calling a Mexican a Mexican now racist? What should we call mexicans now? Latins? That sounds less racist doesn't it?

Let's go to Mexican and get a margarita

Damn Mexicans ran into my bumper and they have no insurance.

Depends on how you use it.

half mexican here.... doesnt offend me...

beautiful ray of sunshine offends the shit out of me...we'd be fighting...

words don't bother me, there's nothing wrong with the word Mexican.

The OP on the other hand is a shitty, shitty troll and should have stopped posting long, long ago.

Well context is important. When someone calls me a mexican without meeting me, I think it is safe to assume this person is quick to pidgeon hole latins.

That's brilliant.

At least until you meet someone named bob.

You:"Hay there Bob hows it hanging?"

Bob:"Oh not too bad, nice weather we're having"

You:"Ahh... fuck"

:awe:

Dick works just as well.

At least you'd be right about every guy except the transsexuals. ^_^

Around here, the term "Mexican" is usually preceded by the word "fucking," as in "That fucking Mexican," "Those fucking Mexicans," or Let's get some fucking Mexican for lunch." 😛

I worked with one "beloved patriot Mexican" (one who doesn't speak a word of Spanish) and almost everyone called him "SAM." Hell, when I first started the job, I thought Sam was his actual first name...until someone explained that "SAM" meant "Stupid Ass Mexican." :rolleyes"

I live in "beautiful ray of sunshine central" here in Kahleeforneeya's Central Valley farm country. The illegal Mexicans are everywhere. Not only in farm jobs, but on construction jobs, working fast food, in the grocery stores, etc. A couple of years ago, the bakery manager at the local Safeway got picked up and deported in an immigration sweep...not just a worker...the dammed department manager.

SOMETHING needs to be done about the illegal invasion.

Hispanic people in general, I don't have problems with. Most that I've known are good hard-working people. As long as they're here legally...and don't press the "Aztlan issue," 😛 I have no problem with them...but if they're here illegally...deport them on the spot.
