Why don't the people on the mexican channels here in the states, not look like the mexicans I see in Home Depot? I mean the ones I see around town working all have basically the same look to them and its nothing like the ones on TV.

I know what you mean though. Hispanic/Latino ads feature light-skinned, clean-shaven Enrique Iglesias looking models, while in real life I mostly see dark-skinned, mustached types.

most of the mexican stations we see in arizona are puerto rican actors... and im sure they dont recruit pepe from in front of the home depot because (just like any other tv station) they like to put pretty people in front of their cameras.

Perhaps your eyes only see the stereotypical Mexican in Home Depots, while the other Mexicans you see and perhaps even meet you pass off as "white people".

I always get a kick out of teachers, neighbors, whoever when I tell them me and the wife and our three kids are 100% of Mexican ancestry.
