Mexico is a shit country.

Respect is earned, and if you can't clean up your home, prepare to be mocked.

besides, Mexican ambassador asking UK to apologize?

im not sure how BBC is linked with the government?

am i missing something?

The BBC is state funded, but with a large degree of freedom. They got into a huge fight with the government for example over Iraq, as they made public that the government had lied and withheld information in order to go there.

This. If you watch TV you have a TV Licence, that's how they get their money, as a result we don't have to deal with adverts on the BBC, it's awesome.

yeah, people complain about taxes here. Imagine if American fat fucks had to pay just to watch tv. lulz

We're dumber than that: We pay the Cable company for the TV service... and then have to watch Adverts anyhow.

The Mexican ambassador in London has complained to the BBC about "xenophobic" and "offensive" comments made by the motoring show's presenters.

Ambassador Eduardo Medina-Mora Icaza has demanded an apology after Richard Hammond jokingly described Mexicans as "lazy, feckless, flatulent [and] overweight" during an episode of the BBC2 show screened on Sunday.

Point of clarification: As an American - when a Brit describes me in the same manner, it's a normal conversation?

Just trying to figure out the proper etiquette for feigned indignation. ;)

They have to do the same if they want cable. But in addition, they have to pay $235/year for the BBC.

God bless the Queen. Living in luxury while forcing the peasants to live in austerity.

COW, I'd love to hear how you think the standard of living of the UK compares to Mexico.

OK - The next large country near the UK is France...

But the Queen hasn't figured out how to get them to work...

That seems incredibly off topic for this thread at this point. There has been no reasonable steering towards that discussion in here.

Heh, I never asked for the the BBC to apologize for when they visited my state. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy watching Top Gear, but you do have to realize that the hosts are, for lack of a better word, tools.

Are you from the state where people wanted to shoot them for painting their cars?

Yeah it's awesome, no adverts! Oh and little censorship. You know the kind of things that TV should have. :sneaky:

Anyone with any sense will agree that the BBC is slanted towards Labour and England but that their science programming is the best out there.

I don't pay any license, no one really has to unless you want to.

France has no current royal family, except in Sweden.

When it comes to our Queen, no one cares about her but Americans and Germans, they love her and thus we get a lot of tourism, she has no political power at all anymore and the traditional power to wage war is long gone.

Traditions are kept for the dumb Americans and Germans though so as to keep up the illusion of the UK royal family power. It's not real though, not even a little bit.

I wasn't talking about political censorship, I was talking about censoring swearing and the like.

Yeah, but i was, the BBC was clearly for Labour regarding the last election from what little i saw of it.

Censoring swearing is daft when you have full frontal nudity in the afternoon.

Agreed. I didn't see the coverage of the last election tbh so I can't comment. I think we can both agree that advertless TV is awesome though?

I wonder if neckarb thinks death threats are appropriate means for Mexicans to voice their concerns?

Cool, how much does it cost to purchase a ticket to see that inbred whore? Also, what does she do when she has political meetings with the Prime Minister? Do they play poker?

The British monarchy isn't relevant at all to this topic and yet you brought it up. Maybe the real reason you don't want to discuss the comparative economies is because you'd have to admit Brits are much better off than Mexicans despite their royalty.

I think the problem is he's not interested in debate but rather hurling insults and trolling as he doesn't know anything about what he trolls. It's why he's on my ignore list.
