The British monarchy isn't relevant at all to this topic and yet you brought it up. Maybe the real reason you don't want to discuss the comparative economies is because you'd have to admit Brits are much better off than Mexicans despite their royalty.

It shouldn't be that difficult. I had it in a sarcastic statement. I didn't invite a discussion on it.

There is more to discuss than economies (and let's not forget that the British economy was built by the deaths of hundreds of millions or billions of people slaughtered for the Empire). I would argue that the limeys are not better off than Mexicans. It's better to live and die a human than as a peasant.

Do you think that should not be factored into the analysis?

I think the problem is he's not interested in debate but rather hurling insults and trolling as he doesn't know anything about what he trolls. It's why he's on my ignore list.

I'll be happy to debate. Looking at this thread, it seems that I've posted more facts here than you. I suggest that you're scared of engaging into an actual debate.

All you've posted is a bunch of low-grade opinion troll-work and posts such as "HAHAHAHA They can go fuck themselves." Yup, that's some high-quality work there!

When I originally saw that, I was laughing like crazy. The thing is, they always say what we're all thinking.

Sure, you can factor in the UK's show-monarchy. I've never met or even heard of a Brit who's life was meaningfully impacted by their monarchy. The House of Commons has all the power.

Just ignore that troll, his modus operandum is to find a thread that has anything to do with Europe or if it doesn't at least make it about Europe and then troll until everyone is bored and leaves the thread, that's how he thinks he's won.

There is nothing you can say to him that he has not been told before, he just rejects it and no matter what you tell him or how much you prove him wrong, next thread he starts back on square one.

Trust me, it's not worth the keystrokes.

You think being classified as a peasant has no impact on someone's psychological development? You think that funding all these royal extravagances has no impact on a typical British peasant when the government is asking for austerity from them? I guess all that hoopla over tripling university tuition was just a dream.

You've never met or head of a Brit who will admit it to a foreigner because they've already lost so much as a collective society/country.

They have lost economic power, military power, scientific power, etc. They haven't just dropped a bit; they're not even considered relevant. It's a little country that has isolated itself from Europe and is now being ignored by the United States under Obama.

Cultural power is quickly eroding (they've done a good job reducing its decline though; BBC funding certainly helps in some respects). What do they have left? Do you want them to admit that they have lost everything? That's basically what you're seeking.

They used to have everything. Now look at them. Pathetic, aimless, becoming the new third world.

Agreed, he doesn't even understand what a peasant is and yet he continues to call people it. He knows nothing about what he's saying.

Theres pretty much zero Mexicans in the UK so its ok to make fun of them. Now if he cracked a joke about Pakistanis or Muslims he would be fired by now.

I thought Hammond and May's comments were in really poor taste. I suppose, though, that the real difference between this and past "incidents" is that they both lack Clarkson's ability to be insulting and charming at the same time. I wouldn't mind a semi-apology but at the same time, I suppose anyone should be game.

The BBC has apologized for the comments and they're editing the comments out in international transmissions.

The Queen herself needs to apologize next.

She and her British peons see her as some sort of God in Human Hag Form. She'll never apologize and the British peons will never tolerate it because their God in Human Hag Form cannot be seen at the same level as other humans.
