Mets-Dodgers potential trade? Seo for Sanchez

Decent deal for the Mets.... Sanchez throws gas and Seo only had a few good months over the last three years... Good job selling him high.

Mets haven't done much with the bullpen other than Wagner so this is a fine deal if it happens. In the pen you of course have Wagner to close and then there is Heilman who wants to start, Juan Padilla, Chad Bradford, Heath Bell and I guess Royce Ring. Mets need bullpen help so the more arms the merrier. Would have liked Baez on the team..the dude has good stuff.

Baez is a headcase (supposedly)
Does not want to close
Is on a walk year

we got this dude locked up for @ least 4 more years.

I enjoy the deal.

Dang...as a Dodger fan, I really like Duaner. He has great velocity on his pitches. I hope for the Dodgers sake this doesn't become another Pedro Martinez for Delino Deshields trade. UGH!

I'd make the trade if I were Omar.

As a Pirate fan....I finally have a slight glimmer of hope for the first time in a decade. 🙂

Was Seo really just an ok pitcher? I mean hell, he was 8-2 with an ERA under 3.00 last year, but it seems that most of you didn't mind the Mets trading him.

I like Seo and last season I thought he looked like the rookie Jae Seo of 2003 when he was very very good. I didn't want him to go but I understand the need for bullpen help. Now if Aaron Heilman somehow gets traded then I'll be upset. You can get rid of one..but not both!! Pitching depth was a Mets strong point last season and so if you get rid of both Seo and Heilman you have to pray Pedro and Glavine don't break down. Imagine if not only Heilman goes next but what about all the lame Benson rumors?? I have no clue what Omar is thinking now but I hope Benson, Heilman stick around now that Seo is gone.

At least Seo is now pretty much guaranteed a pitching spot in LA right from the very beginning.

its sad that the Mets are willing to pay $5 million of kaz matsui's $8 million contract and they still cant find takers!

its pretty well documented what a major disappointment he has been, so not surprising.
The Mets are trying to play it like he had a bad season because of injury, but the one before that was pretty bad too....

I suspect teh second base job will be shared betwen Boone and Hernandez

problem lies in Seo and Heilman were basically insurance policies against injuries (Glavine is gunna be 40, Pedro has this toe injury)... both guys are servicable starting pitchers. I guess the mets have faith in either Soler, Bannister or someone else appearing to be a backup starter out of ST and report the AAA until they're needed.

Seo looked brilliant this year, but imo its smoke and mirrors and the mets sold high. I like the kid a lot, I hope he prospers, but don't have big expectations and you wont be disappoitned. As for the other half...have fun with Suckaluck lol 😛

I hope matsui gets traded, not because I don't like him, but because he has a ton of talent and I think the spot light really got to him. He gets booed by dumba$$ fans every time he steps up to the plate and I think he deserves a shot in another city.

Totally agree on this - Duaner had his moments where he seemed overwhelmed when he first started with the Dodgers, but eventually became a reliable pitcher.
