OK, so I've got this old phone (its a nokia 6288) originally on MetroPCS. Its a leftover from when someone I know went iphone/att.
With the recent supreme court case sort of cementing that a company who owns a cell phone (even if the employee pays part of the bill) may snoop - and with yours truly getting charged for an overage a few months ago (we are allowed a paltry 300 texts per month, pffft), I want to set this phone up with MetroPCS (quite popular in my area and roughly $43/month after all the taxes for what I want to do.) i.e. I want to text and msg my old <3 out and revert to using the business phone for business - as it should have always been.
So do I actually need to go into the "metropcs" service center in the ghetto? Or can someone like Best Buy set the account up with the old phone?
