Word, I would have liked to have been able to shoot heroin at my leisure, and have gotten into treatment without the gov't forcing me to. I have never stolen, boosted, robbed or otherwise illegally obtained money for my drugs, or the drugs themselves. Arrest people for the illegal activities associated with their drug use, not the use itself.

you're proving my point. the government has outlawed and scheduled drugs blindly, in most cases. the only thing they've tried to do right is rank things by 'potential for abuse.' and they end up fucking that up bad.

i take a sched II rx drug that they (edit: doctor) once replaced with a IV because it was 'less addicting' and 'safer.' it took the worst effects of the good drug and amplified them to maximum scariness, while being not effective at all. ugh. drop two ranking so i can sweat, puke, and shake like i'm detoxing from heroine (was not in withdrawal from prev script)....

Indeed. Apparently SSRI antidepressants have very weird withdrawal effects. Things like waking up in the middle of the night screaming and having weird shocking sensations around the neck.

It's human nature to want to alter our state of consciousness. Sure, there are people that have no desire to do so, but they're certainly an exception, not the norm.

Humans have likely been ingesting mind alternative substances since before we were human. It's an exercise in futility to try and stop it. People are going to experiment, it's what we do.

But I agree with your overall sentiment.

I posted back when this topic was new, I know a guy who owns a gas station who sells them. He said, at the time, that he had a regular customer that bought two or three packages a day. At first I thought the guy was probably destroying his brain at that amount, but then I realized he's probably cutting it with something and reselling it as cocaine or something along those lines. That guy probably made a lot of money...

Not that I am defending 'our drug policy', but cocaine is schedule 2 because it is used in certain ophthalmological (read: eye related) solution for people allergic to the more traditional pupil dialiting drops...

Marijuana has many medical uses that only the most brainwashed of doctors would deny. The fact of the matter, however, is that Cocaine addiction is far more injurious to one's mental and physical health than MJ addiction. Regulating illegal drugs according to medical use is fucking idiotic. The appropriate approach is to regulate them according to drug type (opioids together, stimulants together, etc.) and the harms that arise from their abuse.

I do. It is a mood altering depressant than can be abused and it is addictive. Anyway, just curious what the rest of you think.

I think alcohol is a little special. Since our bodies have evolved specifically to deal with it, it suggests a long standing relationship between the substance and human beings.

MDPV is not so bad if you know what you are doing, i find it is actually a very good stim to use in very small doses when you need to stay awake for long periods of time. I use it once or twice a month in 5-10mg doses.

I think most people get into trouble because they dont read up on the dose amount and treat it like coke, and i can tell you from my experiances that if you did do a line of this stuff the same size as even a VERY small line of coke it would really fucky you up, and i could see that kind of dose leading to alot of the stories posted in the news.

If you stick to small doses though its fine, i bought 1 gram of this stuff over a year ago and have over half left, so not addicting AT ALL when taken in moderation.

Coke doesn't have much of a comedown other than general hunger and thirst, maybe a headache due to thirst. Meth is like heroin in its comedown with the single minded cravings for more and such.

No thanks, I'd rather do coke. At least I can tell if the coke is good or not.

Even the most minor of fads is picked up by the Department of Defense and results in the establishments selling it being blacklisted and service members being drug tested for it.

Is the drug testing industry fairly lucrative? I feel like it would have to be what with constant new "threats" becoming apparent, and so very many companies and organizations demanding drug tests of their employees.

High is not like coke at all, and only lasts days if you do way way to much of it at a time
