the biggest problem with meth is that now you can't just walk in and buy sudafed... regardless of the fact that you would have to buy up all the sudafed at every CVS in town in order to make some meth, the state thinks it's a big problem

Yep, there was just an article in the paper about how it's a bigger problem than ever, and it's coming in from Mexico now. I sure am glad they made it difficult to buy cold medicine. It really cleaned up the meth problem. Stupid ****** politicians.

Yeah thats dramatically reduced the supply alright . The feds are clueless running around spending billions targeting marijuana, and specifically medical marijuana😕 while this meth sh|t blows up in their faces. It just shows how little they've learned from decades of the war on drugs when they honestly thought making cold medicine harder to get was actually going to make even a dent in the meth supply.

..Crack is King here in the sf/bay area wit meth a close 2nd. Lots of money to be made feeding da loosers.

The meth epidemic is a media myth. Text

IMO the worst drug addiction in America is people's addiction to their own adrenaline, caused intentionally by sensationalistic news media tapping into people's senses of fear and hatred. FYI: local TV stations are the most consistently profitable (by margin) businesses on earth. Tune in, shoot up a big hit of fear -- they got advertising to sell you.

Ya meth is a big prob here out west (originally from FL).

what line did you use to get your gf?

"Sup b1itch, got meth?

lol... sry. First thing that came to mind.

I had a friend that got addicted to meth.
He told me how he buys it from the supermarket... just mix draino with raid ant spray. 😕
He finally stopped after his mom, who's a psychologist in drug rehab, kicked him out of the house for a month.

owning a tv station is like a license to print money. not a one has lost money.

What they should do is legalize it and make it cheap so these low life junkies can do it tell they OD. Reduces crime and cleans up the gene pool.

Bad problem in Nebraska and Iowa. I used to live downtown, not the greatest area, and hung out with the people that lived in the apartment below me sometimes. As crap as their lives were BEFORE they started on meth, it still made them worse. People will just go insane for a week or more, on a binge. Then they crash hard for a few days, after not having slept for over a week.

Except they'll still break into your house/car and steal your crap to sell so they can buy more.

I'll remember that when I'm looking for ways to get richer once I'm already rich.

Forgive me for being a newb, but how the hell do you smoke that in the picture? Is there a screen involved? Maybe i should remain ig'nant.

It melts when a flame is touched to it and produces smoke.

(Or so I've heard... 😉 )

So put the powder in the bowl and light it from the bottom? lol i feel like an idiot for asking, but non of my friends or i have done this.

*edit* i dont plan on it either 😛

Yeah, actually that IS how it's done now that I think about it. You don't really NEED to touch the flame to the meth, just melt it from the bottom.

If I hear you have turned into a meth head, I will feel really bad for "Teaching" you how it's done!

Then I will KICK YOUR ASS! 😉

Well next time im with my GF visiting her parents in E, i will be sure to stop by so we can fire it up.😛

It's a DATE! 😉

I thought you were Gay?
Oh you are firing HIS thing up... I got it.

Interesting that you would say that about adrenaline. As I understand it the way Meth works is it made the muscles around your adrenal glands constrict releasing adrenaline into your system, so you are in fact getting high of you own adrenaline! Or so I was told in a Drug class I took while in the service...

Vic

You know I'm against the WoD, but to deny that meth is the latest drug craze in some circles is just sticking your head in the sand. Meth is to rednecks what coke is to the music industry, and crack is to the inner city. I may not approve of the governments actions regarding drugs, but I recognize the ill effects they can have.

Both stress and meth simulate the "flight or fight" response. However, meth increases dopamine levels (causing pleasure) whereas stress decreases dopamine levels, which can lead to depression and anxiety. The purpose of the "flight or fight" response is to prepare the body for physical action. Individuals watching sensationalistic TV news from their living room couch or trapped under workplace pressure in their office cubes do not outlet physical action (not even to stay up for nights on end like meth junkies). One of 2 evolutionary-dictated responses then occur.
(1) Your body assumes you have been dominated in a sexual/social competition and reduces seratonin levels in order to encourage submission and prevent the possibility of physical harm (from the alpha). This leads to depression.
(2) Your body assumes that you are starving and unable to procure an adequate food supply. It lowers the metabolism and increases fat content. In the actual presence of an adequate food supply, however, this leads to obesity.

So now you know the true reason why America is fat and depressed. We're stress junkies. Turn it off and stop worrying about things you can't see and wouldn't even know were happening if it wasn't for the news pumping it into you.

I am hardly sticking my head in the sand, nor ignoring "ill effects." I am simply arguing the objective fact that the "meth epidemic" is greatly overstated by a sentionalistic news media, and that its significance pales in comparison to other health problems in this country. Which brings up another problem with the War on Drugs, in that it selectively treats certain health problems as though they were criminal problems, while ignoring other health problems altogether.

I comprehended it just fine, chum. While they're on their benders, they're not gonna be going to work, which means they'll lose their jobs. Some of them can't hold jobs in the first place. It's much easier to just steal your crap and sell it than go to work anyway.

Welcome to New York City (on crack) in 1986. Times change, the drug changes, results don't change.

Start shooting and jailing, taking away food stamps being used by Meth-heads and watch the stats go down quickly.

Anyone remember Rudy's "42nd Street Cleanup" a few years ago? Same concept applies here, except it needs to apply nationwide.

Then again, small town USA mayors and coppers aren't yet ready to admit there's a problem.

And THAT'S the problem with our country today.

Too much PC, not enough NUTS.

Crimes are crimes. Not all meth addicts are criminals, and not all criminals are meth addicts. The tired old argument that the War on Drugs reduces crime is not only a fallacy, it's complete and utter bullsh!t.
You want a serious statistic? More than half of all murders are committed under the influence of alcohol. Shall we bring back prohibition? Oh snap, we tried that and it didn't work.

If the Government's success with the War On Drugs and it's predecessor The War On Poverty is a precursor to the expected results of the War On Terrorism, in a few months one should reasonably anticipate that the cost of terrorists will go down and there will be at least two sources in even the smallest of towns.
Oh and the supply of terrorists will never go dry.

YAY ! (yo)
