So why aren't there setups with like, a driver for every say 3hz from like 10 to 24,000khz then?

Sure, it'd be a bazillion dollars.. but wouldn't it be the most accurate reproduction possible?

You'd have to have a lot of crossover circuits in there too. I'm not sure what the effects are when more complicated crossovers come in to play though.
hmm, true.

Probably get to a point where.. there is no point.. pretty quickly.

the farther drivers seperate....the more trouble you run into in a hurry.... thats why you never see a ton of space between woofers/tweeters

I wish my physics classes were more cool stuff and less random crap.

Hehe, true true. Although you shoulda gone EE. It seems like everyday we talk audio amplifiers...

But for the physics and EE side of it just read a book like "The Speaker Building Cookbook"

I see in your post later you put up a few numbers saying it dropped off but i would be nice to get a range and see how bad it dropped off.
Maybe tomorrow. There were other people in the house that don't appreciate the bass like I do ;) Frankly, I had a previous sub, a tempest, in a huge 12cube box tuned to something like 18hz and it just didn't sound as good when I wanted to listen to music. I can't think of any movie where I found the bass lacking, and really I see no point in trying to find any. Lord of the Rings rocks, the damn breaking in X-Men 2 rocks, etc :)

SVS has some charts showing some clips that have nice bass. A lot of them have info down quite low.

Anyone remember the movie Saw? The first few minutes where the two realized they were in deep sh!t after the lights came on - I dunno what was in the soundtrack but the air was moving around, ripply and all. That really made it eerie.

We "saw" it in the theater.

She made me turn off Frailty though.

And she didn't like the end of Audition when I showed it to her.

Have you seen Audition? :Q
