Metallica's St. Anger available at Fry's for $9.99

Overpriced if you ask me, but thanks for the deal. 😉

EDIT to clarify - Good price for a CD, but just not this one. Coming from a longtime Metallica fan, this album is somewhat disappointing.

Yes, BB and CC will have them for 9.99 as well. CD includes 75 minutes of music and a 75 minute DVD featuring their studio recording sessions.

There is not one guitar solo in the entire album. It's not worth the money, save it for another album...Like AFI!

agreed

You also get an insert with a secret code where you can go to a website and download more songs. There were 3 concerts available for download so far, mostly their more popular live songs, but still 48 songs so far. I think it's worth it, I love their live stuff.

Forgettable and Bland are 2 words that come to mind.. and thats being "nice" 😀
I am a longtime fan as well, since Ride the Lightning days... The new one is pretty dissapointing to say the least.

Nuker, the worst thing is that they were the Zeppelin of our day. To see them like this now is pretty sad really. Do you suppose Cliff can be brought back to life?🙂

I've only heard a few songs off of this album, but nothing that makes me want to drop ten bucks on it.
Besides, I hear that Lars is a big fan of peer-2-peer file-swapping, so I think I'll just download it.

First I must sAY that I have been a fan since kill em all and when I first heard this I was disapointed due to all of the hype. After the 2-3rd time of listening to it, it is just different than their other stuff. Nice and heavy. Sure no leads sucks but hey it is different and they are playing alot of the old stuff in concert this year that they have not played in over ten years.

Yeah I've listened to the album, can't say its worth it 🙁
I certainly like some of their previous albums much better!!

I still have "Kill 'Em All" I bought on vinyl way back then.
I bought all subsequent albums, even the 6 1/2 year Anniversary 12" Collection in '89 so I can say with credibilty that
I will make it my business not to BUY this or any other future albums they make, not for $10 not for $1.

I agree with Jeff Bridges' character in The Big Lebowski:
"Metallica - a bunch of assholes..."

50 years from now, when they're gone, their old albums will be cool again.
