"Short of changing the door on my room to have a key" What is wrong with this solution. Could this be any more obvious?

Keep all your things sorted and out of sight, so he can't find them.

Keep all your dishes in your room.

Complaining constantly and becoming anal about things like this is only going to make your everyday life with your roomate more unbearable than it is already. Loosen up a little, stuff is just stuff and sausage seems abundant where ever you are to be found. There are more important things in life to worry about. Like your blood pressure. And Anandtech's bandwidth.

amen brother!

Or, I could have just ranted to get some stress out.

That's what masterbation is for, that way we don't have to hear about it.

ffmcobalt, dude no offense but you sound like a loser...

You sound exactly like my roommate, who got all high and mighty on me because i was snacking on his food. worse part is we use to be best friends, until i kicked his ass for being a jackass.

What i find funny is your complaining about him mooching on your food and your precious summer sausage. lmao, dude get a life, so what if your roommate mooches on your food. Its only focking food. If you didn't want the problems of having a roommate why did you get one in the first place.

First off all let me say this i wasn't trying to troll. The reason i got up in my roommates face was, if i ordered out for pizza or anything i always ordered for him to, or i always asked him to dinner or lunch, i never made a big deal out of a small issue such as food. ALthough he never stole from me or was a messy roommate, but when he came to food, he always acted like a jackass, even though i never had a problem with sharing what i had with him, because i though a small issue of food isn't that big of deal, but for him it was.

Like the time he ordered a pizza but he ordered for himself only, when i asked him for a slice he said the whole thing was for him. But wheneven i ordered something, i made sure i he could have some. Thats the type of jackass my roommate was.

That's not a jackass, that's his preference. If you volunteer to order pizza for the two of you, you automatically expect him to order for the both of you when he orders? How expectant, demanding, and assuming of you.

He's not the jackass here.

Really? What a jackass! I would've kicked his ass too. I can't stand people making a big deal out of me mooching off them.

My point is sharing food with others is common courtesy, i mean if i ordered something i would want my parents, friends or bro to share with me, i wouldn't say no you can't have this because i only ordered it for myself. I think that would be selfish.

You don't see our point. We're making fun of you. Please be patient and don't jump to the conclusion that we agree with you just yet. Because you need a good beat down, yourself. But that's okay. You give them out, why shouldn't others give them to you? It's only courteous.

Like i care what if other posters are making fun of me, its only a forum. I'm sure you probably care more since obviously you have 20,000 posts under your nick. gj.

Man hes drinking your beer its time to get a new roommate. That or take a very stiff stand but that could make for a very uncomfortable stay with him for however long you are living with.
