Angra - Temple of Hate is even more ridiculous than this. at around 2:25, the thing that sounds like a keyboard? it's a guitar...
 
I was going to say, "If this isn't Dragonforce then it isn't metal" but it IS DRAGONFORCE, so I am plesantly surprised 🙂
DF are taking the states by storm--they are amazing.

Wow, they cut like 2 minutes out of the song.

Their newest album wasn't so great, more of the same stuff. Fire and Flames is really the only song that caught my ear.

Try and find Dragonland: Starfall, great album.

If you like them, you might also like Edguy, Dream Evil, Rhapsody (although they are the cheesiest band I've ever heard), Hammerfall, Demons & Wizards (although being an Iced Earth fan I'm sure you're aware of D&W), Holy Dragons, and Into Eternity. Power metal kicks ass.
 
Herman really plays well. I remember back when he was in Demoniac, he used to hang out on IRC and trade mp3s a long time ago. Cool guy as well.
 
So so awful. They're like the 2006 version of Rhapsody. Pure filth. I can see these guys prancing around the renaissance fair dressed up like blacksmiths.
 
lol....i like the music, but at the end of the solo when they try to jump off the drum platform and kick their legs up....lol...classic.

holy crap this thread took off lol... Yeah I absolutely love these guys, they represent what I love about metal, the antithesis of this scream my guts out, sound like I am coughing up a furry gopher in my throat to the sound of detuned guitars... Also gotta agree with SWScorch the bands he mentioned are great as well...oh and check out Nightwish too, fvcking unbelievable band.
 
I've been listening to this band pretty much nonstop for the past couple of months; they are great.

All of their songs sound pretty much the same but 'My Spirit Will Go On' is another good one.
