The story irks me. They keep making this shit up as they go.

I know exactly what you mean 😛 Still a good game though (save act 3 which is boring as hell!)

they keep spawning over and over again. It's not hard, it's just tedious and unsatisfying.

I don't remember enemies spawning over and over again at all. At times there were some guys in reserve, but it was nothing like the infinite enemy spawns of Goldeneye. The only time I can think of that had a whole crapload of spawns was when Raiden was fighting Vamp and you had to kill the Gekko's, but I'm assuming it was supposed to happen that way.

There's also "respawns" when fighting Crying Wolf. They are suppose to be coming from the boss-machine itself, but it's still a bit lame. Also, on the last level, on the deck of the ship, they keep coming back unless you only disable/tranq them (this just slows respawning down). It's still nowhere near CoD4 or a bunch of other games though. And at least they explain where they come from to some degree.

It seemed like near the end when I was trying to protect the rebels (in the area before the cutscene with the EYESEEYOU), the enemies kept respawning until all the rebels were dead. I must have killed 30+ PMC before I gave up.

MGS hit the extreme cheese factor with the first game on PS2...sons of Liberty?

what a ridiculous story/game. The series lost the fun factor there, for me.

I don't care what anybody says. I love the MGS series. The stories are great.....well MGS2 was great until the ending which was interesting to say the least. MGS3 was great. MGS1 was great. My bro has a PS3 and MG4 but I'm not ganna play it until I can really sit-down and devote some good amount of time to it.
