SPOILERS ALERT - That also goes for those who are almost through the game but not quite finished. If you have not finished it completly, DO NOT read the post.

Alright. First off, I would like to say that the game was incredible. EVERYTHING about the game was outstanding. Anyways, first of all, it pissed me off imensely that scenes were cut from the game after Sept. 11. Its clear that scenes were cut between the part where Arsenal Gear submerges and the fight between Raiden and Solidus. There are several unexplained things.

Why does the president reach for Raiden's crotch and then is surprised to find out its a man?
Why everything around Federal Hall was destroyed? To me it looks like Arsenal crashed into the city.
Why was Raiden wearing broken handcuffs in the movie when he's talking to Solidus right before the fight starts?
Why is all of Raiden's gear gone? I wouldn't care, except in MGS, Snake's gear never randomly disappears
Where did Solidus and Raiden fall down from when they landed on top of Federal Hall?

Kojima made a press statement that certain movies would be removed from the game as a result of Sept. 11. It is a fully understandable action considering the impact of the events, but it annoy's me none the less since it leaves holes. Anyone know the answers to any of these questions?

MAJOR SPOILERs

Someone want to explain the end for me? You know what I mean.

Who are the 12? Do they represent the 12 states that originally signed the Constitution or something? (Rhode Island didn't send delegates)
How are they influencing the world if they are dead?
If they are all dead, how is one of them one of Snake and Otacon's biggest contributer?
And who was it that was one of their biggest contributors?
What does GW stand for?

This is from my understanding of the game as I played it:

1. I think because the only other person to have a cool sneak suit like that was Olga in her ninja outfit right?
2. Prolly from however they got there from Arsenal Gear.
3. A mistake? His cuffs were broken only after Solidus threw the sword at him right?
4. To keep you from switching to a Stinger missile and finishing Solidus right away.
5. Fell from Arsenal Gear? Maybe they fell from the WTC (Is the WTC near the Federal Hall in NYC?)

1. I believe the Patriots were our founding fathers.
2. Dunno..maybe it will be revealed later.
3. ?
4. ?
5. Who knows?

Perhaps the people pulling the strings aren't the Patriots per se, but you are still being misdirected and used like always.

I have a question for you.

So if the colonel an AI or alien or what? And the colonel said he's not really an AI, but something from the White House or one of those buildings? As if the ideals of that building grew into a conciousness?

Raiden was never handcuffed though. Snake was, Raiden wasn't though(Atleast i'm pretty sure he wasn't). Thats why I think that some important scene got cut out in between.

Also, its pretty logical that the Patriots were our founding fathers, but were there only 12...? Anyone want to take a shot at listing them?

GW-George Washington? (probably a stupid guess since it doesn't make too much sense)

Kojima said he wasn't going to make any more Metal Gear games

"Kojima said he wasn't going to make any more Metal Gear games"

Personally after finishing MGS2: Sons of Liberty, all i have to say about Kojima's statement is THANK GOD.

I was truly disappointed in the game and found it to be much less original then the first.
I opened the packaging of the game with complete excitement and anticipation of an excellent game and left feeling like i waisted my money.

Well, I don't think that anyone is arguing that MGS1 is better than MGS2, however both games are FAR above average in my book. And most people would probably like to see another MGS game. I'll admit Raiden was a let down, but the game was DEFINETLY worth the $50 I payed for it. In my opinion, saying MGS2 was much less then the original isn't saying much, because the original was so far up there. Besides, ask yourself this, how would you rate MGS2 if you couldn't compare it to MGS? Personally, this game is a standalone masterpiece, but comparing it to the original will clearly bring it down a step.

I thought there were only two drawbacks to the game: First, the dialog between Raidan and Rose. That was annoying and cheesy as hell. Snake and Otacon were much cooler. :) Second, they tried to make the plot too engrossing. This is a video game, the story they were trying to tell was more complicated than most movies. You can't do that within the context of a video game, it won't work.

Other than those two things however, I LOVED the game. The gameplay is amazing, and for the most part the story and cutscenes were top shelf. I can't say I wouldn't have enjoyed playing as Snake the whole time, because I'd be lying. However, having Snake around as an NPC was very very cool. Some of the stuff he says and does are amazingly cool.

Best game on the PS2 thus far, no contest.

I thought the plot was alright. You're right about Raiden and Rose though, that got annoying and ridculous. The guy is trying to stay alive and is surrounded by tons of people that want to kill him, and Rose wants to discuss their issues and crap. No one is that dense in real life.
