I got the Aeropress but I've heard that the re-usable metal filters can leave a metal taste, so most people actually prefer the paper ones. Unfortunately I travel a lot, and a stack of paper filters is out of the question.

Can anyone recommend me a re-usable filter that doesn't impart any kind of taste to the coffee?

i doubt the filter is imparting any metal flavors...

metal filters do not hold on to oils like the paper ones, so that's probably what the reviewers are tasting...

it just so happens I recently bought an aeropress with able brewing metal filters. Once i give it a run through with paper I'll compare and let you know...

I much prefer using a metal filter in my drip machine. Those oils make all the difference! It's like having an automatic french press.
