He recognized Stan Lee, who walked in with a few people, and stood up and introduced himself and everyone.

Do you mean Stan Lee walked in and announced to the people in the restaurant, "Hey I'm Stan Lee!" so that people would "ooh" and "ah"?

hmm ... when I think of a $24 burger, I think of one of those 5 pound angus silroin jumbo huge "eat the whole thing and it's free" burgers, not some little teeny tiny fancy shmansy overpriced little gross burger wannabe.

Anyhow about the original post, that's pretty cool.

Tough crowd today, luckily Tomato isn't too thin-skinned 🙂

I'm not a comics fanboy any more (stopped reading them a couple of decades ago) but I certainly respect Stan Lee for all he's accomplished in his life and for being one of the cool ones.

No no, he didn't announce himself. Sorry about the confusion... a person in our party who recognized Stan Lee stood up and introduced all of us to him. Stan himself didnt' seem vain and all, just a cheerful old man (who I would imagine can afford to eat $24 burgers often 😛 ).

$24 for a terrible burger? How can you screw up a burger? And $24?? WTF kind of cow was that?!?!

It was actually a turkey burger with aged cheddar... and not a good one. 🙁

cheese? I'm sure the models eating at the other tables looked down their noses for you at that choice

I love cheese 😀

The restaurant actually had a $17 cheese plate appetizer which I wanted, but nobody else wanted it. 🙁

Few models at the other tables, I don't think models eat... 😛 Lots of old rich women and fabulous gay men with designer bags, though...
