Messed up assignment

I just remembered that I turned in a opinion paper instead of a research paper like the directions indicated! Am I screwed? Will I get any points from the report? This was for civics class. 🙁 🙁

Yes I should have. I just assumed that we had a choice of either opinion or research, but found out that it was research paper then opinion paper, in that order, not a choice.

Well...your best bet would be to wait til after he hands it back...then have a talk with him to see if he'll let you do it over. Most teachers are pretty accomodating if only you explain things and talk to them. Don't make up excuses (especially ones that are not true). Be humble...admit to your mistake..and hope for the best.
