Oh...kay....
So there's a civil war in 2005, it has something to do with the Arab/Israeli conflict, and ww3 starts 2011. Does anyone else think this guy spent too much time taking acid? (though a part of me feels that it actually could happen)

At the moment no, but in the future? Who can say?

Imagine a nationalist movement where the NeoCons took over, and decided that the rest of the world MUST have our brand of democracy, and we intended to use force to see to it. It is conceivable that other nuclear powers might determine that a pre-emptive nuclear strike was needed to prevent that. It would have to be that way to be effective, because if given warning we could and would obliterate any other power on earth.

Yeah, it could happen.

It is spooky, but let's look at it logically.

1. If most major cities were destroyed in 2015, then the internet would be gone. No question about it as most if not all of the infrastructure is in the cities and military bases.

2. With all that technology lost and destroyed in the war, it doesn't make sense that 10 years or so later that a time machine was built.

3. It would be a no-win situation launching a nuclear strike first against another nuclear armed country. Russia knows this and I doubt they would attack us. Especially since our relationship with Russia is really progressing into friendship. Russia wouldn't attack China either.

4. He stated that Tiawan and Japan would be forcefully reunited with China before 2015. That would be an instant war with the United States. This I can't see happening.

5. Let's not get into the whole time machine thing either.

6. People saying that they saw signs change before their eyes is equivalent to someone acting crazy in church saying the holy spirit touched them.. You know the ones that start talking in tongue or pass out when the priest touches them.

This is really good stuff when you consider it as a new genre in literature. I scrutinized it for a long time looking for some holes in the story. The language of JT's posts seems deceptive to me, though I can't put a finger on it. The whole facade is obviously politically motivated (libertarian, which I don't fault). I can't speak for the physics or the IBM 5100, but there are some fatal flaws in it.

1) Treehouses - not at all believable, especially with the "family centered society," old people hate ladders.
2) He mentiones that our "worldline" is slightly divergent from his and points out seeing different sports teams win than he remembers (in 2001) yet he claims to have been born in 1998. Do you remember who won the superbowl when you were 3?

3)Shotgun infantry - JT would have been picked off from long distances

There are many other things I'm not going to go into but I thouroughly injoyed the read. Audiences can take it as a fictional whodunnit kind of puzzle to debunk, or you could believe it if its as well put together as this.

That's exactly how I took it. A good two hours of fun reading through all that. And thought provoking to boot!

This is from that site:
The year 2008 was a general date by which time everyone will realize the world they thought they were living in was over. The civil war in the United States will start in 2004. I would describe it as having a Waco type event every month that steadily gets worse. The conflict will consume everyone in the US by 2012 and end in 2015 with a very short WWIII.

So it seems to be a gradually escalating civil war that begins in 2004. So next year look for "Waco type events" to happen more and more.

Supposing you believe all this is true. :)

Edit: I believe the 2005 five reference was to the decline of the Western World's influence in the Middle East.

Oh ok, in that case I can't wait until 2004 rolls around and nothing happens so we can truly say this guy is fraudulent and a retard that should get kicked in the head by each and everyone of us who actually sat through and read his postings.

LOL! I have my suspicions that all this was a hoax used as a social experiment by some students in the Sociology Dept. at the University of Florida.
