drumpf-fluffer short while back: "drumpf's tv show was very highly rated, so you know how important and popular he is!"

At no point did I bring up Trump, nor have I ever defended him in such a way. Is that the best you guys can do is just say "Oh yeah, well your statement doesn't hold up with the other political party's choice!"....

Except I even admitted I voted for Billary this year. But carry on. It's amusing.

So you just wandered in here to generally complain about actresses being out of touch?

I'm just going to add to the laughing at the predictability and massive hypocrisy of the Trump camp.

A celebrity dares criticize Glorious Leader Trump, even if it's with grace, intellect and nuance... and sure enough, his cheerleaders rush to his defense by parroting clichés about out-of-touch celebrities, the liberal elite, and other tropes that show no independent thought.

You voted for a reality TV star with a golden apartment. You aren't in a position to talk about elite celebrities getting involved in politics.

That kicker though ...

You need to check his twitter feed more regularly, he's already been after her.

Also I did enjoy Gibson and Vaughn not enjoying her speech lol:

Vaughn made the same face during the Hiddleston speech.

He may just have a resting bitch face.

I have not dog in this fight, just want to point out to the person saying top rank Hollywood personal are "worthless" or "no grasp" to go read some books. They don't get to the top by being stupid, they're some of the most dedicated and smart person around. Can you change your accent from USA to Brit to Aussie and back to USA within a year?

The exp they gain from making one good movie likely bigger than any of us in 10yrs.

Read a book to understand Hollywood actors? Isn't that like an oxymoron?

Poor vilified Hollywood.

"So Hollywood is crawling with outsiders and foreigners. And if we kick them out you'll have nothing to watch but football and mixed martial arts, which are not the arts."

Yes Ms. Streep, there are some brilliant foreign filmakers and artists, and we all benefit from the diversity of the arts. No one is talking about keeping out all foreigners, and Americans have and will continue to gain access to foreign films and talent.

Yes, Mr Trump has said many insensitive, dangerous and vile things. He is not Presidential by any historical standard or precedent.

But he is also a product of the entertainment industry, and Hollywood is partially to blame that everything, including politics, now needs to have an entertainment value.

Some of us mixed martial arts and football watching (I prefer soccer and ice hockey personally) knuckle draggers also believe there is a need for immigration reform, which means you Hollywood types will have to start paying living wages to the armies of immigrant labor that garden your landscaping and cook your meals and clean your homes and cater your cocktail parties.

I'm glad that our bubble is so much nicer than theirs. They get duck dynasty, Honey Boo Boo, and the 700 club. We get literally everything else on television. Oh wait they also got Chachi and Dilbert too.

We get the coasts, almost every piece of high value real estate and all the best educational institutions in the country... they get tar sands and corn fields.

I seriously can't wait until there is some form of "exit" for California or the west coast/hawaii. Should be fun to see the rest of this dumbass country go to shit when we let you go it alone.

..."they get tar sands and corn fields"...as well as Congress, and the Presidency. I'm glad you like your new bubble.
