I can't recall... what do you do for a living olds?
I work for the highway department. I am the night supervisor.

Do you guys have a major project going on? I will say that overtime at the highway department is a killer. I was getting at minimum 25 hours a week overtime from September through November. We are all back to 40 hours a week now because construction season is over.

Snow and rocks. When it storms, we run 24/7.

We got lots of snow and now rocks are coming down where it isn't snowing.

Affirmative.

That actually explains a lot...

I believe the law is that you can't work more than 16 hours... I found that out when I did a 22 hour day and hr brought it to my attention.

I think he's referring to his department...they work round-the-clock during storms...

And, I've worked over 24 hours straight a number of times. The worst was 32 hours...that'll teach me to tell the client that I'd be willing to work exactly one minute more than they were willing to pay me for...:D
8 hours of straight time (~$30/hr) 2 hours of 1.5 ($45/hr) and 2 hours of double-time. ($60/hr.)
Got done, slept 4 hours in my pickup, then went out again for another 8.

I went to work today, mostly out of boredom. Everything is closed. Going out for Chinese food later on, that's about it.
I'd rather work today and take another day off later.
