Merry Christmas - Grandma died

My condolences as well.

It seems to be going around. My sister called me last night and said our very good friend had his appendix burst while he was in NY and had three surgeries, on top of that his father passed away yesterday.

93 is a lot of years, I wish I could go back and talk to some of my grandparents about their experiences. I get them second hand from my father, but it's not the same.

Again, I'm sorry for your loss. :lillys:

Merry Christmas - Grandma died

My Mom called a little while ago to tell me. Bummer.
She was 93 though. She lived a full, great life.

Rest in Peace Grandma Sophie with your Walter, Bruno and Godfrey (married thrice).

Sorry for your loss

Wow, what a Christmas at your household.

You just posted about the Christmas tree cord melted in the wall outlet.

This is first Christmas without Grandma here too, she just passed October 1st.

Merry Christmas Grandma, I know you are with Grandpa and Mom.

🙁

Was she run over by a reindeer?

My condolences on your loss. As much as it sucks to lose family members, it's part of the getting older process...

Mine left at 98 last year... I felt bad till I looked around and seen 123 people at the service from her bloodline.... what a gift she was:awe:

She was quite a woman, giving birth to my dad in the barn (Tomah farmers) and getting up and helping my Grandpa finish milking😱

My condolences to you and your family.

My son lived in Tomah for a while...then he divorced the crazy bitch who moved him there when they got married.
Not a bad little town.

Sorry to hear about your loss, especially during this time of year. Best wishes. Perhaps you guys should use this time of gathering to celebrate her life instead of mourning her loss.

Be there for your mom.

I can sympathize, auntie died xmas eve 1996, she lived a full life (23 years as a functional quadraplegic, seriously tough life - great person). I'll always miss her. Grandma died a few years later on Valentines day.

Sorry for the loss. 93 is a good bit of time though.

This. I'd be blessed and happy If I'll be able to even reach that age in 40 years. :\

Hey, I'll be neffing here in ATOT till the day I die. :hmm:

Lost both my Grandmothers when they were in their mid 90s (weak and bedridden). Grandfathers 67 and 77 years, heart related. All were born in the turn of the 20th century. At their age they seen how times have changed and what technology arose, horror of wars, famine and their share of deaths too. What stories have I been told and what they saw through their own eyes. I miss them all too much after all these years.
