Merrell shoes. anybody wear them?

OutHouse

Lifer
I saw them for the first time last night while shoe shopping for my wife. I tried a pair on and walked around the store with them and i thought they felt really comfy. But of course they didnt have my size in the color i liked plus i have a hard time shelling out $70 bucks for a pair of shoes.

anybody wear them? how do they feel in the long run?

here is the shoe and the color that i liked.

I love Merrel shoes. Wearing a pair currently. Don't think that Nike, Reebok, and Adidas are all there is. Check out some of the lesser known ones like Saloman, Ecco, Born, Mephisto, etc.

Yep, I have a great pair of GoreTex short boots for snow, very comfortable, snowproof and excellent grip. I like their casual shoes as well.

the ones i was looking at are to replace my work shoes, man i hate them. and they would go well with my dockers.

Very comfortable and pretty well made...from what I've seen around here though, you wouldn't try on a pair of Merrells unless they were recommended or you're into camping/hiking/terrain sports.

That's why I love Merrel, they have such a wide range of shoes, from casual, to casual-work shoes, to hiking, to running. And none are ridiculously expensive!

Mine. Got mine for around $25 though! 😀

I want to get some Ventilators this summer.

I got a pair Christmas 2003 and really like them. They are surprisingly warm too.

I bought a pair of the Ventilators last summer and am very happy with them. I didn't like paying $70 for them, but Newtecs suck now, so I had little option.

yea i got a couple pairs of hiking shoes from them and they rock.
i forgot to mention i got both pairs i have from sierratradingpost.com
you might want to check there they get lots of merrells in and cheap prices too.

I had a pair of Merrell hiking boots back in the day and they were very comfortable, however they didn't last too long. However that was under backpacking and hiking conditions so should be a wee bit different than a moc but even a cheap-ass pair of Hi-Tec hiking boots lasted longer, albeit less comfortable.
Vasque makes a good boot (for the money) if you need something like that.
