Well, title says it all, one of hte peeps at XS has Merom working in a Mac Mini and got some benchies up, aparently another is getting Conroe in a few days.

Also a pretty insane sounding claim that the Conroe overlocks to 4G which personally I find very unlikely, but many of the people there seem to actually beleive it.

Front Page
Conroe
Merom

Aparently 20% faster per clock than Yonah on benchies tested for Merom. Conroe at twice the FSB likely faster...

SuperPi 1M

Yonah @ 2.16 = 30.8
Merom @ 2.00 = 25.5!

4Ghz would need a 470mhz FSB(8.5x470). What kinda motherboard is gonna hit an 1880mhz FSB?? Unless he's got an ES with unlocked multies I don't see that happening. Still curious to see their benchies though.

well, seeing as he DOES have an ES which means he likely does have unlocked multipliers its not as impossible. Still impossible, but less so :p

Most of the ES's I have played with didn't actualy have unlocked multies.

I had the opposite experience. For a while almost all my computers were built off of engineering samples and so when I finally bought one myself I was surprised to learn that the multipliers were locked.

on yonah, the multipliers are locked.

It is amazing though Yonah is hitting sub 30 superpi on a stock T2600 in laptops.

My dell E1705 does 29.5, others even lower.

Prepare for intel-domination.
