Just rez an old thread, I bought the game this weekend at 1/2 priced books for $6 + 20% off everything in the store. So about $5 with tax. I'm glad I waited and didn't plop $50 down onto it, but the game is pretty fun. I played it this weekend and I'm just over 50% done (according to the stats in game). Haven't played any coop, but the missions are pretty easy compared to what I remember the original mercenaries being. If anything, the explosions flat out rock and it's pretty enjoyable....for a $5 game. Anything more wouldn't be worth it IMO.

Enjoyable? That game isn't worth a penny to me.

It is just funny that you resurrected the thread exactly 1 year and 1 day after it died. It isn't so obvious that it was resurrected at first glance.
 
I was wondering what the hell was going on (ie people talking about $50 and FO3 comming out). I just picked it up on the GoGamer sale for $3.90. Even if its bad I should be able to squeeze out $4 worth of fun out of it.

I put 23 hours in it in the past week I've had it. I'm at 70% done, and I only spent $5. Better than the movies. I am enjoying the relative easiness of it as well as the cheesy cinematics and enormous explosions. It is what it is.

what are you talking about? I was able to select 1920x1080 right from the menu.

Torrent is ~7.5GB.. how can the game be that big with such crappy textures? It doesn't even seem worth the download.

no he was wrong because you can select a higher res just fine. also there is demo for the pc. it came out about three weeks after your post on here.

I got in on the same sale, well worth the $4 (wouldn't have been happy at $50 though), however, the save game system is terrible.

That's what I thought... Bought it for $6 at Biglots. Boy was I disappointed..
