Menu and Pop-up delays... give us a hand, computer gurus!

Hi,

I really need help with this problem I have... after installing the second HD, I get really annoying delays in menus, folder and file opening.

I posted the question here, but the responses haven't been too helpful so far:

So please help. And give me precise instructions.

- Remove the newly installed HD and see whether the problem disappears.

- Check whether this new HD is set to Master or Cable Select.

- Perhaps the drive is faulty, run a fitness test (tools for this should have been provided by the manufacturer).

- Try the HD in another system, both as Master on the primary and secondary channel.

BTW, perhaps you're not aware of this, but HT is not meant for troubleshooting.
