Perhaps because I'm Asian I tend to get more easily offended by these topics, or maybe just to play Devil's Advocate . . .
Czar: Unfortunately the reason why women get groped so often (It's not considered culturally acceptable, just something that happens so often that people don't really care anymore) is because of a male-dominated society. Unfortunately, in Japan today the level of sexual harassment is very high as female employees have only been a recent change in their society. By recent I mean within these past 2 generations.
However, even though groping is high, what about their rate of crime? Given that it's going up, but compared to US it's still drastically low. If I had a choice between a country with a lot of groping or a country with a lot of murders, guess which one I'd choose?
