This thread reminds me of the time my mom asked me if I had dyed my hair since it was so black. I just couldn't bring myself to remind her that I was Asian and what color most Asian hair are.

Now that I'm in my forties I'm starting to get a bit of grey. No way would I ever color it.

I've been going grey since I was about 18, and I've never died it. I keep my hair short, so it's not that noticeable. What bugs me now is that I'm going bald at the ripe old age of 24. Most of the loss is due to a very long, very stressful school year last year; I think it's at least slowed down if not stopped by now.

at age 49, the hair on my head is still thick & brown.
my beard is substantially gray & quite a bit of my body hair is, too,
but i'd never be so vain to color anything.

booo to grey! I/m 19 and my dad is like 55 and is finally going grey, and when it comes I'll embrace it ^_^


Although beyond the obvious 'we grow older", why does our hair go gray and lose color?
