I live in Athens, GA. I believe the ratio at UGA is something like 3 to 1, women to men. Hehe, it's a great town to be in.

That can't be Rain, you heard your fellow AT experts in here.

Sir, everyone is an expert compared to you. To say that Georgia Tech is dominated by women only accentuates your inferiority.

What does the monkey know of work? He quests for the odd banana now and again then it's off to swing in a tree or make little monkeys.
I, however, support the womens positional achievement. They ought to be on top as they endeavor to persevere the suffering of man kind.
So to speak..

a great big chunk of the women are studying humanities..not exactly big money. its their own loss..college educated women generally search for mates of higher education/status then themselves, and the pool grows ever smaller:) mo power for the men that have what they want:)

Before I finished med school I was out in SF hanging with a friend who lost his six-figure job the previous year. We spent the day playing PS2, watching motorcycle movies, lunch at the bistro, afternoon lap . . . and then when his wife came home from a hard day at her six-figure job . . . she took us out to eat.

My clinical research group (child/adolescent psychiatry) is composed of 8 MDs and 1 Phd but only three men (one of which is going back to Egypt in a few months) and then we have 6 support positions that are all female. My molecular pharmacology group back in 1998 had only two male grad students . . . not that I'm complaining. Men still dominate the leadership positions in academy and many women will have their careers retarded by family issues . . . but women are taking their rightful place in our universities.

Translation:

Someone's wife just got a promotion.
Someone's wife is now making more money than he is.
Someone's wife has had the same job for quite some time, while nobody will entertain the idea of hiring him due to his employment history.

I heard Agnes Scott is dominated by women, too. They kidnapped all the male students in the dorms, castrated them, blindfolded them, and threw them out into downtown Atlanta at 3 am on a cold January morning.

WHY must it always be about someone dominating someone else? We try so many variations on this same damned theme, when will be just try the simplest idea of them all: FREEDOM?
