Eventually women will no longer be needed as a sex as well, since they could eventually use other cells to simply clone a person or as the base to mix genetic material from two people, and artificial wombs will one day be available.
It's long been an idea in my head that it should be possible for two men to have a child, with a surrogate mother to carry it and donate the egg. One day it probably won't even take that much.

Why would we ever need this technology? The only useful application for this would be when all male Humans have become extinct, but I don't see that happen very soon.
And no, infertile couples and lesbienne couples are out of luck. This technology is NOT for them. They should adopt a child instead.

But you know that they will use this technology because they will actually be able to produce a baby that is the genetic combination of both parents. I knew this day would come and I'm not sure if I like it (in the case of a lesbian couple).

well frankly we don't need people.... the purpose of reproduction is to reproduce human beings.... it really doesnt matter what sex they are... I mean all this means is that if babies stop being male for some weird reason it wouldnt matter... But it's not like it's practical or beneficial to eliminate males... I mean I think we're pretty fun at times aren't we ladies?...

I'm no science wiz or anything but if i remember biology correctly, don't you need an X and a Y chromosone to produce a child? I can't remember which sex has what but i think i remember women not having one... if that's the case i guess the lesbians are infact outta luck.
IMO, the last thing we need is more people... now we're helping those who can't have kids over populate our society... what a world we live in

No, you need an X and Y chromosome to produce a male child.
X+Y = male
X+X = female
Y+X+X = female, but more muscular
Y+Y+X = male
Y+Y = the embryo dies in the womb
Of course, this counts only for Humans and many (thus not all) other animals.
I actually wrote my english research paper on human cloning. Many things could happen. The emotional effects that will prob take place on both humans and clones will be huge. Also, other diseases could evolve from this type of cloning. All human clones could possibly be made to look like supermodels. (Which could be good for some of you hornballs!!) I feel that society as a whole will go to he**.

As for emotional problems, the earth is already infested with clones: twins. Which emotional problems?
