Memtest86....how long should it take?

My computer randomly reboots, tried switching PSU's and the same problems occur. Figured the ram might be the problem so I decided to give memtest a try. I finally gave up cuz it took 30+ hours and it was not even half way done. How long does memtest usually take? I am desperate to know what is causing these random reboots.

Thanks

it runs in continual loops
did you by chance notice how many passes it made? if any?

also how much ram do you have?

104 passes means it ran 104 times. If you didn't get any errors in 104 passes, then your RAM is not the culprit.

Yes, I have a bootable CD for memtest.

As to the original subject, many times random reboots is a sign of high temps, does your case/CPU have sufficient cooling?

Make sure you run all tests, it doesn't do that by default.
I had some screwed up Crucial RAM that would check out fine with the default tests, but when I ran "All tests" I got a couple of thousand errors.

How could I go about making a bootable memtest86 cd? That would be great as I do not have a floppy in my PC anymore.

EDIT: NM, I found the ISO on their page.
