Memtest freeze ups with new motherboard!

Hey guys i just got an Abit IC7 and i only have 1 stick of Buffalo 512mb 3200 with a 2.6c. Running totally at stock speeds with SPD memory timings, i always get a freeze after about a minute of running memtest! I bumped up the voltage on the ram and a little on the cpu and same results! I ran Prime95 for 24+ hours and no errors, even overclocked 2.6c@3.2 with 5/4 memory divider, Prime95 shines. Any suggestions?
 
Yeah, this problem occurs ALOT. You have to disable USB function in BIOS so that it doens't freeze. Weird, i know, but it works.
