After trying to run memtest i finally get it to work. I tried using memtest 3.0 with floppy and when it tried to load it would just restart my computer. Then i tried Memtest 3.1 on floppy and i would get jiberish. Finally i tried the ISO and it worked.
Windows XP seems to be stable on my computer games run fine everything seems fine except when i try to instal some games or unzip/rar/ace large files i get all sorts of file is corrupt errors. I get it when i try to instal Far Cry and when i try to instal Soldier of Fortune. I tend to get errors when i try to instal 3DMark03 yet i didnt get any errors when installing Doom 3 or when playing it.
I dont overclock but i have an Abit kV8 motherboard with "on the fly overclocking" i tried disableing that and also using the µGuru utility i drop everything to what i think is normal (not very sure) um Ext. clock 200, CPU voltage 1.5 AGP voltage 1.5 and DDR voltage 2.5. Messeing with this stuff doesnt seem to help my instalation problems.
So i run Memtest to check my memory. once it starts running i get errors (see pictures) i cant really tell whats going on with the numbers i'm hoping someone can help me interpret these results. Also if my memory is screwed up what can i do? I purchased the memory from Newegg about a month ago.
