Memtest doesn't stop

Memtest has been running on my computer for three days now. What gives?

It will not stop until you stop it.
What you want is to have no errors (all passes).

If you've run it for 3 days and you have no errors then take out the cd you burned memtest onto and then push ctrl alt del, if that doesn't reboot your computer then just turn it off and turn it back on without the cd in.

LOL, a few hours is enough, or perhaps overnight. This doesn't give you your 3 days back though 😛

I typically run Memtest86+ for twelve hours or so. I expect ZERO errors.

But the amount of time you run it, in theory, depends on how much RAM you have. It'll take a lot less time to thoroughly test 512MB than it will to test 4GB of RAM.
