Memory Usage with ICS

Hi, I have a small, 2 PC Lan with ICS. The hsot machien which is currently under stress is a P3 1Ghz, 512MB RAM. I rebooted, and now about 5 minutes after, I am given an instruction that there is not enough free memory to browse the network, WTF is going on? All the other PC is doing is browsing the internet.

What OS are you running? Also, try ctrl-alt-del-ing and seeing what's running. If you are using Windows 2000 or XP, see what is using all your memory/CPU power. ICS uses virtually no memory or processing power, the computer you have should be more than fine. And which computer are you getting the error on?

I'm gettin git on the P3, the client is an Athlon 1.4 with 512MB DDRRAM, again I suspect no problem. Am Using WIndows Me. Network games are fine, its just when I browse files on the other machine, do you think tho that that could be due to me browsing at the same time as the other user using his PC?

I doubt using the computer is a problem unless the applications are very, very, memory intensive. To be honest, I'm not exactly sure what the problem could be. You say network games work fine, which leads me to believe that it's not a network problem. Just browsing files is a lot less taxing on the network than network computer games. My only suggestions would be to check the hard drive space on both computers to make sure you have enough empty space.

Well, I have done a ddfrag on both machine, which seems to have helped matters. Thx for your time on this day.
